All Tomorrow's PowerBooks...
Looks like Apple's machines are still the weapon of choice in the musical world: I (and 7 close friends) spent the weekend at the All Tomorrow's Parties UK music festival, and over the course of three days I counted up 5 PowerBook G4s (all 15", only one of them with a big bit of gaffer tape on the back of the screen), 4 Wallstreets (3 of which were sitting in a row on one of the stages) and a Quicksilver, all being used to make either music or visuals.
Not bad going, given that at least a quarter of the acts were DJs using good old-fashioned vinyl or CD decks, and I only saw one non-descript beige box and something that looked like one of those teeny-tiny VAIOs in all that time.
Hats off to Mr Ive as his glowing Apple logo: free advertising doesn't come much better.

yea in the live electronic and DJ music world the glowing apple is the symbol of superiority. Oh man and now the glowing keyboard.
