F***ing Brood War CD Gives Me I/O Error

Hey all. Every time I play SC BW on Battlenet or otherwise, the CD causes my DVD-ROM drive to have an I/O error. The only way to fix that error to my knowledge is to restart my iBook. If I don't do that then the functionality of all my optical drives (my CD burner and my DVD-ROM) is shot. Is there a way I can repair the Brood War CD so that these annoying I/O errors won't occur anymore?
