Sleep and ethernet problems

I've had problems putting my FP iMac to sleep since I upgraded to 10.2.4 and it remains in 10.2.5. At times it takes awhile to go to sleep and also to wake up. Recently when it wakes up I have to restart to get my cable connection back. That never hapend before. Does anybody have any ideas or fixes? Thanks.

    There is no real fix that I know of but unplugging and plugging the ethernet cable back in should do it so don't have to restart the machine.
