Keyboard-Mouse switch not seen by Monterey any more

I have a rather old USB switch, CKL-24U2. It is a quality unit and used to work well. Some time ago after a Monterey upgrade macOS stopped seeing this switch. It does not show up in lsusb. However, if I plug the keyboard and mouse into generic USB ports of this switch then they show up in macOS and are usable.
I'm curious, is there a way to re-introduce this switch to macOS so it will see and use it?

The company support might be able to say if it's not supported on Mac Monterey:

If they don't support it, there are newer USB 3 switches:
