I'm trying to use Quicktime Pro to export an mpeg 4 that I took with my video camera to a DV stream so I can use it in iMovie. When I do, the audio vanishes. What give? The help is no help, of course.
Thanks!

it works for me.
File > Export ; then you come to the 'save' dialogue, there you select 'Movie -> DV-Stream' and just below choose 'Standard'.

My bad - I did some digging and it's MPEG1 (which Sony calls MPEG EX), not MPEG4.

It's a known problem; QuickTime likes to lose the audio on MPEG-1 files.
