Importing Quicktime to Final Cut Pro
Hi,
I don't know if anyone asked this already (I couldn't find it in the archive), but is there a workaround to avoid every import being rendered under Final Cut Pro?
Importing a Quicktime file is a pain. After bringing it into Final Cut Pro the red line appears, marking the clip as not rendered. The same happens when importing a dv-file. On the other hand there is no problem, if you import a dv-file into iMovie (by moving it into the media folder, since the app offers no real import function but an import with the camera). iMovie doesn't have to render to show the clip.
Does anyone know a workaround for Final Cut Pro?
Thanks in advance!

That said, iMovie imports virtually everything these days: look in the File menu.
Do you have any idea which of my settings may be wrong?
Thanks in advance!
