Apple cinema display 23" and imac 2011
Morning all,
I've acquired an old 2004 Apple cinema display (silver frame), and was hoping to connect it to my imac 2011. The mac recognises teh screen is there when I connect the DVI and USB, and light sup the power light but the screen does not light up.
I can even drag items off one screen to the other, but obviously can't see them.
Any suggestions as to why this might not be working?
I'm using a short Mini displayport/thunderbolt to DVI adaptor, and have tried this monitor on my iMac and my Macbook pro, both result in the same thing. When I hooked it up to my old Mac pro 3.1 it displays ok so I know the monitor is working well. The adaptor is fairly low cost (a few pounds) but brand new.
