Does anyone have any idea what to expect out of these "comming soon G4 server's"? Specs and availability? Or is it the same PM's that just came out but with OS 10.2 Server? This machine is posted on apple's web site in the store section
i really dont get why apple would release a power mac g4 server when they have the xserve. looks like
the xserve would be alot more convienent to people
needing a server than a huge PM.
i mean im sure it dosent hurt to release it...maybe there is an advantage to it that i am overlooking. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Sure is .. like a slew of PCI slots and price. Adding drives would be alot cheaper as well, since you woudn't have to go for fancy hot-swappable drives.

Not everyone needs rack mountable servers either. If you only need one, there's no need to buy a rack. It would look quite funny.
