"American Chopper: The Series" on Discovery Channel...

in General Discussion edited January 2014
Anyone else love this show?

I love motorcycles and I love design and I love cool-looking stuff, so I get my weekly dose of all three with this show.

And it's quite hilarious because this father and son are SUCH buttholes to each other and are always going at it. But, in the end, they make a beautiful machine.

Much like "Trading Spaces", it becomes addicting to watch.

Here's the site of the actual company. Check out some of those ridiculous designs!!!

Anyway, the show comes on tonight in about an hour or so. Check it out!

i probably wont catch the series, cuz i'm dying to know if troy will fall , but this question poked at me when i saw Pulp Fiction. About midway into the (absolutely wonderful) flick, Butch "acquires" a ride, which his lady attempts to refer to as a motorcycle (i think), but he corrects her, saying its a "chopper." what is the difference between a chopper and some other bike? is it just the extended tire, or is it the company name/trademark or something (like a hog to harley-davidson)?

A chopper is one that's been chopped up from sundry parts. All choppers are custom in some way.
