Air pods and hearing aids.
Let me begin by letting you know I'm a 71 year old mail with a hearing disability brought on by a severe concussion{I ran into my left fielder at full speed}. I was told by two different audiologists that my $7,000 hearing aids, that I could hardly hear out of was not my problem, but that my hearing was too far gone. An acquaintance recommended that I visit the apple store and that they would program my phone to use the air pods for an alternative hearing device. He claimed he could hear better with the air pods than his hearing devices. As the Apple employee was programming the phone she remarked that she hit a button by mistake and proceeded to call over the pro. He checked it out and when they tested on me I could hear the music great but could not hear them talk, as if I had no hearing device in. They were stumped and advised me to call the teams number to correct the issue. When i got ready to leave I put the one hearing aid I had with me back on and lo and behold, it worked better than I thought was possible. I could now hear enough to carry on a conversation, and that was with only one hearing aid. The audiologists were wrong all these years. Before I went to Apple I could hear ok when the aids were paired to the phone and the tv streamer. Now I can't. I can hear the call come in way better but can't have a conversation. So my aid works way better but it doesn't work with the phone other than the ringer. I called teams and after three hours on the phone he could not provide an answer to what took place. He also is unable to talk to someone who knows the product better than he, so I'm stuck and concerned because I can't use my phone anymore but hear much better with the aids. I'm not a tecky but it seems to me the aides kind of took the place of thje airpods and also blocked the airpods full use. Please help me, I'm so exited by having hearing enough to have a conversation again but so taken back that they can't fix the cell phone use. I can hear better on her phone. My quality of life is at stake guys, please help. Thanks. Wayne
