Virtual PC question

I would like to buy Suse linux 8.2 for Virtual PC, But would this work and be able to install onto my mac. I have a 17inch PB w/ 1gig of memory

Any reason why you don't use a ppc Linux?

I installed Mandrake 9.1, and it works fine.
Mandrake for PPC is the most PoS operating system I have ever tried to use. I paid $AU75 for it. I'm never giving Mandrake any more money for the foreseeable future.

Yes, it should work. And I understand wanting a X86 Linux, since you can run precompiled programs and even run some Windows software.

If your going to spend that much money I would just get a cheap 100-200 dollor PC and run linux on it. You would be MUCH happier.
On a side note if you are going to run SuSe on VPC let me know so I can download SuSe for you and mail it to you so you don`t waste your money.
