    Running OSX or OS9?

The Radion 7000 is the last PCI video card ATI makes. However, I use a 3DFx Voodoo 5500 which is a little faster, (more memory/larger screen resolution and refresh rate) but dosn't work with openGL games and OSX. Best bet is to use the ATI card. But if you don't care about games, a Voodoo 5500 is dirt cheap on ebay.

If you want a gaming card, the only choice is the Radeon PCI. Not the Radeon 7000. The 7000 is fine for graphics acceleration in OS X, but it's NOT meant for games. Another good choice, for cheap, is the Rage 128, which is pretty good and only costs $30-$40.

I think he is going to focus on OS 9 for a while. I don't think he plays games. I'll check out the Voodoo.

Fortunately, the 7600 is a very upgrade-friendly machine (much more so than my 6500!)

Have you guys heard of people flashing PC video cards to work with a Mac? Any info on this?
