12" PB battery life/conditioning

I tried hard to see if this question had been asked already..but couldn't find anything so here goes



I seem to remember reading that the batteries for Mac laptops..maybe all laptops ..must be conditioned in order to get maximum retention out of them..are there any specific steps that one must take when using a new battery.
