Your remember... the ones that were on their site for like a day. (or less)

In any case, I still have um, and was curious why they have never shown up. Now Panther is in the works so I guess they will never be official....

Just curiuos what your thoughts were as to why they died.

Oh yeah. I completely forgotten about those.

I'm not sure if they were ever really meant to be seen. There were some good ideas there (esp. "Zoom"), but they seemed to like nothing more than pretty rough concetpual spots done for Apple -- probably by Chiat-Day.

Someone decided they were cute enough to put up on the site, then quickly changed his or her mind.

Wonder what the new music service ad blitz will be like...

Probably pretty crappy. Last good televised ad we had out of Apple was Window back in early 2002. And before that there hadn't been a good ad since the Pentium slug days.

In the UK we had the FP iMac "dancing" ad run on TV a lot, and the "mine's bigger than yours" PowerBook ad has been running fairly frequently of late.

I'm also guessing it was the beginning of what would have been a TV ad campaign to sell Jaguar, but was instead axed ("Steved"?) at the last minute; the fact that they were posted up on Apple's site may mean that they were very close to being generally released. I was expecting them to show up at Macworld, but heard nothing about them.

Hmm, they comes across to me more like test shoots: that Zoom ad is nowhere near broadcast quality and there's a generally unfinished air about them.
