Messages in Sonoma freezes every time that I open it in Sonoma (14.6.1)

I'm using a M1 Max Mac Book Pro with 64GB of RAM, and 4TB SSD. Messages works fine only 2020 5K iMac, with a i9, 64 GB of RAM, 8TB SSD,  also running the latest version of Sonoma. This has only been occurring in the last two updates to Sonoma. Any help would be appreciated.

You could try booting into Safe Mode and try it there.

I’ll see if Mac OS Sequoia fixes it, because nothing else has been successful.

If it beachballs, opening the Activity Monitor allows generating a spin dump of what it's doing by selecting the process and clicking the button with 3 dots in the menu bar. The text that's generated is not always clear what's going on but it shows nested loops of commands and sometimes the keywords can point to what's wrong.

Another thing you can do is open Messages in the terminal. Go to Applications, right-click Messages and Show Package Contents. Then Contents > MacOS. Double-clicking the Messages app in there will open it in a terminal window and it will log what it's doing when it opens.
