Firefox 133 won't connect to forums

I'm moving to a new machine running Sonoma 14.7.1 and Firefox 133 refuses to connect to the Forums on the grounds of a security issue.

forums.appleinsider.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the web site, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

Anyone else experience this and is there a workaround.  Other browsers don't have a problem but it's tedious having to change simply to view the forum.

I have found a workround and that is:  "Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode" in Firefox settings.   This shouldn't be necessary, but as most sites use https the security risks are probably minimal.

We only serve our pages via https. Are you saying your connection isn't being upgraded? If not something else seems funky here. Check your proxy settings, whatever AV you might be running, etc. You shuold not have to disable https-only mode (i'm posting this from firefox 133 on mac os sequoia 15.1.1 right now.)

I'd be cirous if there's anybody else out there still using Sonoma that could reproduce
