Looks like a great service - are you a buyer?

50 in 6 months is an awful lot of music and that's your lowest choice. I'd say more like increments of 10 would be more accurate. And it all depends on selection. If there were a better selection, I'd be all over it. I'm sure there will be, but not just yet.

I don't use credit cards. Also, I mostly listen to really underground music. Looks like I'm sitting this one out.

I was thinking about the numbers in terms of CD purchases and concluded that purchasing 5 CD's or outlaying $50 in six months was not too excessive, but perhaps you are right.

i bought an complete cd and a song today...could have been a lot more if i had ventured into blues (i saw some albert collins and quickly ran away)....

more indie, more old stuff and it could be dangerous for me...

I know. I just seems as though 50 seems like a lot. If you broke down into full albums it would be different. I just bought 11 tonight. I could easily see myself getting over 50 if the selection picks up. I don't need the cds - I just rip and put 'em away anyway. This saves me a step. And it's cheaper.

I'd buy more... if I could. If Apple wasn't discriminating against me for living in an igloo I'd have picked up a couple by now.

Sadly, I have to vote none.

I selected more than 100. It's just so dangerous, and since I use my debit card, I never see a bill anyway. I just see might empty bank account. Ahhhh!

Exactly, this stuff is dangerous with the debit card, I could see my balance slowly dropping to zero lol. Hurry up payday

hahah same here. since i already have 38, it won't take me long to get up to 100. at that point, i'll just be helping to bring the average up a bit

Beside editing the first line to "Apple won´t use my credit card." I´m on the same boat too.

none: i was born a tief, and a tief i shall dye.

paying for things is wrong, like recycling, sharing or hurting a group small or medium sized monkees. when will you fascists learn that the real money is in tieving?

None. I buy most of my music on vinyl. Even still, I took a look last night and the music store didn't have any of the ten songs I searched for

Its well put together and I think it will be a moderate success (predominantly with older Mac users who don't have the time or patience to find the songs they want on the second rate file sharing networks available for Macs), but I think that as long as young people are the main consumers of music, the social aspect of hanging out at Tower Records or a small indie or dance music specialist store shouldn't be underestimated.

As much as I like and listen to more obscure stuff that isn't available in the iTunes Music Store, I do finally understand the whole porn addiction thing. You see, in the privacy of my own home, in relative anonymity, I can download all the cheesy, sentimental or otherwise mainstream stuff I was always too ashamed of buying in the real stores. One song here, one song there, not a whole album, just a single, if I don't exercise alot of restraint, I could see this getting out of hand.

Well, I just bought the two versions of Layla by Eric Clapton... but that was mainly because I had only one version, and it was really poor quality. I think I'll just be using the music service to fill the gaps of my music collection - replace poor-quality or incomplete songs.

Same here. We should be good with our closet pop-music habit... as long as noby looks in the porn, uh, I mean, purchased music folder.

Its gonna be hard to explain those beegee hits.

I bought a couple albums last night but will wait on more purchasing until I figure out the copy-protection scheme. (I think a pirated copy of OS X was installed on this machine prior to a legal copy finally arriving in the mail.)
