[quote]Voici la répartition des personnes qui ont été recrutées pour travailler sur l'Apple Expo.

iBook : 2 personnes

PowerBook : 4 personnes

Power Mac : 1 personne

iTunes/iPod : 3 personnes

iMovie/iDVD/iPhoto : 3 personnes

iSync/iCal : 4 personnes

Apple Store : 5 personnes

Jaguar : 3 personnes

Final Cut Pro : 2 personnes

    New Apple Store?

I think that it's a little odd that they are breaking down how many people they are going to have at each station of the booth. Notice they apparently will not have the new iMacs or eMacs at the show. That strikes me as strange as they were just introduced.

If you were to go on your theory of people corresponding with new products, it looks like iCal/iSync will be launched (pretty much a given), they will push Jaguar (like they have), and they will push the iApps/iPod (like they have).

I will say that I don't remember seeing any iBooks at MWNY. To have them at this expo might point to an introduction but the jury is still out.

Powerbooks seem to be the other possibility.

well, if my memory serves well, Apple WILL be opening an Apple Store on or near the Champs Elysee (THE shopping street in Paris).

So I guess Jobs will present that opening and iSink and iCal.

I doubt there will be any hardware updates

(better be a pessimist and get a good surprise rather than be psyched up and get diddly)

Sounds like MWNY and Steve at the new Soho store. He was wonderful?just there?no body guards, rock-star like, and no crush of people either. Just sitting upstairs chatting. Quite impressive. How's his French?

LOL. That would be funny....Steve Jobs with a cadre of body guards. Because of course he is a potential target of Al Qaeda. There's lots of important men who would like to see Jobs take a bullet in the head.

    It appears that <a href="http://www.thinksecret.com/news/parishardware.html"; target="_blank">there won't be new hardware at Paris.</a>

That quote just says not to 'expect' hardware at Apple events not that there won't be any. They are simply trying to do away with the hysteria that goes on before any show they put on because they've found it can affect sales negatively as well as positively IMHO

Those staff figures are interesting although it could just mean that they're pushing Powerbooks more, or it could be related to some kind of unanounced offer like free toaster with every powerbook or something

God, I'd love to have a free toaster with every PowerBook.

    INSTANT BUY!!!!!!!111

its monday... not a single rumor site has info.

there is not gonna be any new hardware.

it WOULD be hilarious if, as many times Apple does at conferences and stuff to make people shut their GSMs off, Jobs were to get the public psyched up about the potential iPhone and start off saying "So, how many of you have cell phones? Neat invention aren't they? Ok, take out your cell phones... let me see them... ok... now... reach over and press the power button to turn them off.. thank you "

I went to a few Apple sponsored user groups here in Belgium and the people that do presentations always start it off that way to sort of both break the ice and get people to turn off the damn phones.
