Problem with iTunes 4

I'm having a relatively serious problem and can't figure out what's wrong. After I purchase something from the music store or if I'm streaming songs from someone on my local network, the song will stop and I can't resume play. At this point, any song I click on will not play. I have had to restart my computer to get iTunes to play music again. Rebooting iTunes, or the Finder has no effect on this problem. It's probably something really simple, but any help would be fantastic. - Josh
