Where are the Music Videos stored in iTMS?

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
They aren't streamed, but I cannot locate them via Sherlock. Does anyone have a clue? Does anyone (besides me) even care?



I'd love to slap these on a VCD for a party.

    What do you mean they aren't streamed?



    They're progressive downloads, but I don't think that means iTunes caches them on your hard drive. Hope I'm not talking out of my ass.

    Since they're downloaded, they are stored somewhere. I just don't know where.



    Only if they were streamed would there be no file on my hard drive.

    It's located inside your boot volume/private/tmp/501/Temporary Items/



    The file name should be similar to this QTPluginTemp...

    In case anyone is interested, here is how to find it:



    Wait for the video to download.

    When finished downloading, search Sherlock for files created today, visibility set to "All"

    Sort the list descending bu file size

    Near the top of the list will be a file named similar to "QTPluginTemp5110984"

    Select this file and Control & Option & drag it to the desktop

    Add ".mov" to the end of the file.



    Keep in mind that if you quit iTunes the Temp file will purge





    Viola!

    Try featured artists on iTunes Music Store home... like Mariah Carey

    Some do and some don't..

    Get into the store.. click on those artists under the "Exclusive Tracks". For example, on the U2 page.. click on the Video and it will direct you to the "Electrical Storm" video.
