Airport :: Dynamic DNS ?

an the airport automatically update your DNS to a DynamicDNS service [like dyndns.org] ???





some routers are able to do this.

    The flaws in that question boggle the mind.



    What I gather you want: you box's net address becomes warezandporn.dyndns.org ?



    It will work, however base stations likely have a built in firewall which will drop incoming connections, so someone who wants to connect to you will not be able to. You can connect to them, however, as warezandporn.dyndns.org.



    Solutions to this problem have to do with firewalls, DMZs, and are beyond the scope of the question. Post if you want more info.

    Using the Airport Base Station, can one automatically have the AIRPORT save your dynamicDNS information [login/pass for dyndns.org for instance] ?





    My brother's D-Link 713-p can do this. So whenever the IP changes, the router would automatically send that info to dyndns. So you don't have to use a program like DNSUpdate to do it.

    This would be cool, but I'm pretty sure the AirPort does not do this.
