hmmm, it doesn't sound to me that P800 support is going to arrive with this update. harald has written at length in other threads about it needing syncml support, and that may be delayed to version 2.

i hope not...

Well, At least Apple seems to be supporting more Nokia bluetooth phones in the update.

I bought a 6310i yesterday (to replace the POS T68i that I've had since it debuted - hate that phone!) only to get home and find that it isn't supported by iSync.

I hope the update comes soon.

well i dumped a perfectly good 6310i for the p800, thinking that the p800 is bound to get isync support first (and of course the 101 reasons to love that phone).

guess who isn't going to be happy if it doesn't work out like that...

There were two issues, of which the most serious was the Bluetooth compatibility.

    That's fixed.

Why bother if it brings no new functionality?

I will be utterly gobsmacked if my phone doesn't sync when this arrives.

edit ... I bet you OTA doesn't arrive till Panther (speculation).

That article about iSync 1.1 (and maybe 2.0) is the most exciting news Think Secret has posted in a long time. IMO, it foreshadows the mobility revolution we will see before the end of the year.

I have a suspicion you're right, Harald. What better way to make a big revolutionary bang than by using Panther and iSync 2.0 to synchronize your iPhone with your 970-powered 15-inch Alu PowerBook, either over-the-air via GSM/GPRS and .Mac or connected locally via Bluetooth?
