osx numeric keypad issue..please help.

I just bought a G4 which came with an apple pro keyboard. Now, I'm wondering why the numeric keypad serves only as back up for my mouse and how to switch it back to numbers.



can anyone help me out with what I'm sure is a simple issue. please go easy on me, I've never really used a mac before.

    Apple menu--> system preverences --> accesability--> mouse keys

    turn this feature off and if you dont think you will use these features, turn off the hotkeys as well (should be a checkbox in the first tab...)

    and don't worry about it, not many people know (or care) about these features. Also they are buried pretty deep in the preference panel...
