Working at the Apple Store
I am currently applying for a job at an Apple Store opening near my home (Huntington Long Island NY). I'm a College student so I can only work from May to early September. I applied for a coupe of positions but only the part time Mac specialist is still open. Could anyone who is currently an employee at an Apple store or has applied for a job at one give me some advice as how to "encourage" employment. Is there anything they look for on a n application that grabs their attention? I am curious if anyone here has also applied and/or gotten a job at this store and can give me some advice or contact info as to get me an interview. I really want this job!

i've applied for quite a few jobs at apple stores in my area (there's three quite close) over the last nine months or so.
a friend of mine works for apple as the guy in charge of all the area compusas. he's called all the recruiters and such recommending me non-stop for several months.
i finally get a call from the recruiter a few weeks ago, offering me a part-time job at a store an hour and a half away.
hopefully your experience will be better.
I know the Roosevelt Field store, isn't it a little close?

I grew up in E. Northport. Small world. I remember my dad getting on the train to go into new york in huntington (this was like 20 years ago.... man, I'm getting old)
I'm going to try another store which is opening soon.

I'm here. Lately I've been too wrapped up in the (horrible) Mets, Nets, driving, school, etc. I just got an iMac yesterday so that got me kinda back into the AI mood
