I just got a 5 GB iPod. "I'm SO 2002, dude." Anyway...



Apple says "You must use the Apple 6-pin to 6-pin FireWire cable with iPod. iPod is not compatible with other FireWire cables."



Is that REALLY true? I have a tone of nice cables, but do I have to use the white one that came with the iPod? I need more than one cable, and I would love to use my other cables when at work, on the road, etc...

    Not true. You can use it with any respectable FireWire cable.
