How do I Clean the iPod's Headphone Jack?

It is "crackly" sometimes when I wiggle the headphone jack. I need to clean it. But how?

    1.) gently with compressed air.



    2.) very carefully with a cotton bud and some meths. Just make sure you dont get the bud too wet and the end falls off in the socket!
