Re-Formatting Question

Can I reformat an existing partition(HFS+) into free, unformated space? I'm installing YDL and was wondering if I could just reformat an existing partition.

    the YDL installer should guide you through the install, and using an existing partition should not be a problem.



    only advice I can give is BACKUP.... twice!

    Can it reformat a partition? I don't want to erase the whole drive. I've already backed up the stuff I need from that drive.



    Also, can I install YDL on a firewire HDD?
