New Safari unstable?
Has anyone had problems with the new version of Safari? It seems very unstable to me -- it quits at least 2-3X a day. Sometimes it quits if I just move (move, not re-size!) the window!
And what exactly have they fixed? The same pages that did not work previously still do not work...

What build are you talking about.
Beta 2 (v73). I'm pretty sure that I installed this version before upgrading to 10.2.5, so I'm not which is the culprit. All I know is that Safari never "unexpectedly quit" on me before, and now it does it fairly often. Other apps are pretty stable, although I've also noticed iTunes 4 quitting a couple of times.
I'm ready for this OS (and its apps) to be stable already....

Haha... sorry to hear that. Does this help? From Macminute:
PeopleSoft announces support for Safari
May 7 - 06:44 EDT__ PeopleSoft today announced that it plans to certify Apple's open source-based Safari Web browser, allowing users of the company's enterprise applications to take advantage of Safari's features, such as SnapBack navigation and tabbed browsing. "The Safari browser delivers the fastest Web browser performance in the Mac OS X environment and once certified will enable PeopleSoft users to be more productive," notes the press release. PeopleSoft says that Safari support will be available in the fourth quarter of this year
Looks like you have a while to wait unless Apple has a way to fix it.

When safari goes into a fit of unexpected quits, clear your cache. Then it won't happen again... For a while..
i cleared my cache a couple of days ago -- so far so good -- no crashses since then. what's that all about?

If I had a clue I'd be a high-paid programmer at Apple... Or at least a programmer of sorts...
