What are the new iPod games like?

When I saw that the iPod had two new games, I started to wonder what they play like. I haven't had a chance to go down to the Applestore yet, and I am truly curious. The only game that is depicted on the Apple site is solitaire. Has anyone played parachute yet? What is it like?

    In parachute you have a cannon at the bottom of the screen that can swivel 180 degrees, it is slightly raised though so you can't hit any targets on the ground. Helicopters fly over and drop little parachute paratroopers. You try to shoot the helicopters and paratroopers. For each thing you hit you get a couple points, each shot you fire subtracts a point. If so many of the paratroopers land on the ground you lose your life. Point is to kill everything in as few shots as possible.

    I wonder how tough it would be for third party games to be developed for the iPod...both legal-wise and tech-wise. I mean, come on, that guy loaded LINUX onto his iPod, so why not Tetris?
