Thats right my new band "Rogues Gallery" has it's first gig tonight at Champ's on the Avenue in South Bend Indiana(woohoo, big time).

I'm excited, we are a good band loaded with great talent and we have starting working on originals after developing a nice collection of cover music.

so, if anyone is nearby(doubt it) come on by and give us a listen.

or a simple 'break a leg" will do

That's some freaky looking band! I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to South Bend, Indiana (what's in a name?!) tonight though, but good luck in any case.

Good luck with the gig! Later, you should put some recordings of your performance up on iTunes sharing for us all to hear.

a freaky looking band is why we named it

    rogues' gallery (r?gz)

    n.

A collection of pictures of known and suspected criminals maintained in police files and used for making identifications.

and I am gonna have a buddy who records live music direct to cd's come to a gig soon and do a recording. He cant come tonight as he is out of town...bummer.

But I might use my digital camcorder and rip the audio to mp4 if it's not to distorted.

    Sounds like heaps of fun....

Maybe one day you might come down south of the equator to OZ. Almost every second town has its own music festival. So there'd be plenty of Gigs. Mind you. you'd probably get tanked every other nite...& go out to wrestle with the crocs

You don't say what type of cover music your doing ( 60/40 ? )..

By looks you kind of look like a cross between The Captain Matchbox Whoopee band..& Dan Hick's & his Hot Licks..Or are you aiming for more of a jazz funk style ?.....re the Beret on Dr Steve...

Ok , our gig went great, lots of people and we were well recieved.

I used my digital camcorder to record video and sound then I imported all to iMovie and extracted sound and made some .m4a's. They are available atRogues' Gallery there are 3 songs on there and the sound quality is very good for a camcorder, but there is a bit of crowd noise. So listen and give me some feedback if you will...I can take criticism, as long as it's not about the guitars
