Problems printing iPhotos to network printer

First, the hardware setup: 800Mhz non-opaque 14" iBook printing through Airport to a networked printer attached to a 17" Superdrive iMac. Both Macs have 10.2.6 installed, running the latest version of iPhoto (2.0.1, is it?). The iBook does NOT have the HP software installed on it like the iMac, but the reasoning for that is that the Setup Assistant keeps wanting to find a printer on a local port and it just isn't there. We have no problems printing from any other program on the iBook.

Now, the problem: Whenever we want to print something on the iBook from iPhoto, we'll click on the print icon at the bottom. Instead of bringing up a dialogue box to choose what size prints to make, it just starts printing a full page-sized photo. If one tries to cancel the printing, iPhoto crashes. Printing from iPhoto is fine on the iMac. All the size options, etc. are available.

I'd be happy to give more information if you need it, but can anybody help me out with what the issue is here? Do you think that this is an iPhoto problem, a print driver problem, or a problem with printing to a networked printer? Any help is appreciated.
