I just saw the one with the kid singing Eminem (it was The Real Slim Shady and not Lose Yourself as Apple had had it previously on the website....I still say it's not so hot to have a kid so young spouting off Eminem lyrics; it's just screaming "Hey, kids! Come get your trash talk that will rot your verbal capacities before they're even developed here on the iTunes music store -- we don't even check IDs!!" But I guess it reaches a point where parents nowadays should be more vigilant anyway. I wouldn't put a computer in my kid's room or give them Music Store access even if they were about to die from some awful disease and the Make a Wish Foundation had let it be so.).

Oh, and it was on Comedy Central during a South Park re-run (the chris reeve/stem cells/Jimmy and the "Crips" episode).

Apple dont have to check ID's. I am sure its similar in the states, but you have to be 18 to own a credit card here in the UK.

I have yet to see any Apple commercials(except for Mini Me/Yao) on TV. Of course, I only watch two channels, so...

i dont think there are laws about being 18, but that is the normal age people get them, i thnk u can get them earlier, but i'm not sure the age limit or if there is one (obviously they wouldn't want to give one to a 10yr old)

You can get a credit card at any age. The question is how do you pay it back? The answer is usally mom and dad because you have to be 18 to open a checking account at just about any bank.

As for the iPod Commercials, I have yet to see one on the air.

Well that is kinda misleading. A CC company can give credit to whomever they want, but if the consumer is under the age of majority (18 in most US States IIRC) then their signature carries no legal authority. Therefor most banks won't let a minor have a CC by themselves. If a parent co-signs for the fantastic plastic, then their ass is on the line for the authority they have granted in their name.

Translation: If you are dumb enough to give a child unfettered access to your financial destruction, then you are probably also the same type of parent that doesn't care about them downloading Eminem. (Though I recognize there are a few parents these days that have taught their kids both personal and financial responsibility, it is rare)

BTW, I looked at porn, drank, smoked, and caused mischief as a kid. But my mom was involved in my life to the point that I didn't do it to my ruin. Parental involvement is key whether kids listen to Eminem or not. Though I am sure that we will see a major lawsuit or distribution restrictions in the next couple of years.

I don't need a credit card, I have my mom's card number, VISA security ID thing, and expiration date memorized . I ask before I make major purchases (iPod), but my parents trust me when I buy music on iTMS. And yes, I have downloaded Eminem (explicit lyrics of course).
