Newer powermacs have USB2 controller... oh, and Power5 boots linux!

Newer Apple towers have a USB2 controller. Open Firmware sets the chip to work in USB1 mode though. Ben Herrenschmidt is working on full support for USB2 on these systems.

    Radeon 7500 dual monitor support and USB 2.0...
