ibook won't goto sleep when lid closes

hello fellow genius!

my ibook g3/700 won't goto sleep when lid closes,

have you guys got a fix for this problem?

i already tried the power mang.

shift/option/control/powerbutton/wait 5 sec's/startup.

no dice!

    Sleep-on-close is controlled by a little magnetic sensor under the left handrest. Maybe yours is broken? Taken your iBook into an MRI machine lately?

    you have to send it in to apple...

    call 1800 apl care

    they will be able to take care of you
