My AGP Radeon died, what should I get?
My computer temporarily lost interest in startnig up, it chimed, whirled the CD drive, churned the hard drive then nothing. The monitor light stayed amber and more disturbingly my keyboard and mouse (all usb devices) receieved no power.
I got a new PRAM battery thinking the erratic clock must be an indication that the PRAM battery is causing havoc. Anyway, I finally figured out my AGP Radeon is kaput, so I put my saved ATI Rage 128 back into my tower, and wala, everything works.
So I have an AGP G4/400, so what could should I get? I'm looking at $100-$150

A little over $150, but not much.
I dont want to get a card that is too powerful for my system. So, what do you think of a Geforce4MX in a 400Mhz G4?
