New Toshiba still lacks SuperDrive

Well Apple still has time to be the first laptop with a Superdrive. Toshiba is almost there but not there yet. This article also mentions Sony as looking to be the first.



Time is running out...so maybe we will see something on the 15th.

Well, lets hope apple dun give up and aims for second place. better late than never!!!

I've only mentioned this about a half dozen times on this board already. Apple still has room to do this right: ie. the Sony will only burn DVD when plugged in to AC power, probably because the drives take so damn long. Faster burners and faster encoding might make it possible to actually burn a DVD on the go. Hopefully they're working on something worthwhile.
