Numerical keypad not working

All of a sudden my keypad has stopped working. If I open Keycaps, the corresponding onscreen keys are highlighted when I press keeys on the keypad, but no numbers appear. Num lock on, num lock off, doesn't seem to matter, I am quite confused. Any ideas what the problem might be?

    check accessibility in system preferences and see if mouse keys are on or not....



    other then that?? maybe the keyboard driver is messed up?!

    Tyhanks Paul, Mouse keys was on. Don't know how that happened. Although I was playing with some other settings in Universal Access earlier, maybe something I clicked...wait, I'll bet it was because I turned on shortcuts and sticky keys just to play with it. I probably turned mouse keys on using the shortcut without even knowing it . Thanks again for the tip, I didn't even know about that feature, I may never have found it.
