Know of any good Audio Mixing apps?

I want to make a slideshow in iDVD, but I want it to be longer than just one song. I know that neither iPhoto nor iDVD allow for this, so I thought I could take the mp3's that I want and mix them into a single mp3. I tried this using iMovie's audio editing abilities, but I can only export a .mov file, which I can't figure out how to add into a slideshow.



Anyways, the reason this is in the software form is I would like some recommendations for software that allows for the joining (and possibly cross-fading ?) of mp3 and AAC files into one. I have looked at Audacity, DeKstasy, and Cacophany. None seemed like they would work.



I would appreciate and ideas or suggestions...

    you should check out for some freeware or demo's at versiontracker, i know that audion can somewhat do this with their wave editor
