Printing in Word

Whenever I try to print in word it takes a REALLY long time. Im talking lie five min. just to get the print dialogue box, then after I click print it takes another 3 min or so for the spinning beach ball. I am using 10.2.6 with printing over airport. Has anyone else had this problem. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks
