CONFIRMED: Elvis Lives!
According to this eWeek article, it's a journaling file system for X, which will be introduced in the 10.2.2 update. That's not bad for a 0.0.x release.
Didn't someone use Elvis as a codename for a rockin' and a rollin' mouse in Future Hardware?
This may not be the appropriate forum, but how often can you confirm the existence of Elvis outside of Kalamazoo, MI?

anyone notice the one line about JFS being "on par with the 64-bit file system in Be Inc.'s BeOS."
hmmm, now we see the fruits of hiring the creator of the BeOS file system, huh?
oh, and excuse this comment if it reeks of naiveté, but a 64-bit file system could really benefit from, say, a 64-bit processor, right?
Yowch.
And don't forget that a journaled file system eats hard drive space, since it's effectively continually backing up everything you do...
And shouldn't this be in Mac OS X?

well, yes, except that it started out with a reference to a preivous "future hardware" rumor, being "presley." it should probably be moved, nonetheless...
Thanks.
