TiBook Trackpads...

I haven't used the trackpad on my TiBook for a couple months now, and just today I noticed that the left side is substantially lower than the right, which is almost flush with the metal casing. Upon pressing it, it even sinks some.

This is quite alarming to me; it's not a vital component or anything while I'm at home, but to see a trackpad sink like this already in a pretty-much-new computer is unsettling. Maybe my sister playing her stupid games (which isn't very often) didn't know to use the mouse (which is weird), and she mashed on it some (which I need to ask/berate her on). But besides this, has anybody else had the same thing happen? Could it be because of the heat (? - a factor here?) from the HDD directly underneath?

I saw it happen on one other TiBook--Apple will replace this if you ask them under AppleCare. I think it is uncommon, but not unheard of.
