Posting desktop Jpegs to AI

Hopefully this is in the right place to post.

I'd like to display some of my own Jpegs to AI without having to go through the bother of setting up a web-page..

Something like sending pics as 'attachments'" via Hotmail..

So, does anyone know of sites where I can temporarily upload such personal images, store them and then send them down to AI by quoting a http as per normal ....? And for free ?

well you could just ask someone to use some space on their iDisk or something... im sure they will keep it up until they need the space...

    capitalization counts...

    [fixed the url - Brad]

what the... how did you get it to do that without automatically linking (and as a result abbreviate itself)?

now look what i did... brad, fix it again

    nevermind... I'm smart too

    Thanx Guys.

I have opened up a 60 day trail account with Mac.com..But the home page seems to take 4ever to load...odd indeed.

    NOTE ABOUT IMAGESTATION.COM

Other thing is I have discovered the Sony has a similar storage set up to Mac.com..only difference is that it is entirely free & unlimited..well virtually..

It says it is Mac OS-X friendly.

Anywaze..I signed up for a free account.

It has a drag & drop feature where you simply drag any image you want to store, over the blue target square.& presto..It's meant to be loaded.

But try as I might, it wouldn't load for me.

All that would happen would be that explorer would automatically open up the image in " local machine zone". Cleared Cookies & history cache but still would jump to local machine zone... Very frustrating...

I am that close..yet seeminly so far..

    I am runing OS 9.2

    Any Ideas ?

    try emailing your pics

    http://www.imagestation.com/help/topics/storing.html

but the service might only work with 10.x and not 9.2...

I'm curious if this will work... keep us posted!

    Will try it tonight.

    Re OS-X :

Yes I suspect that it is meant for OS-X only.

PS : Makes me wonder about Steve Jobs's meetings with Sony..?

Perhaps someone running OS-X might like to give it a go.
