Audio Stutter in Pre-G3 macs on OS X
OK, this is a rather specific question, so I don't know if anyone will be able to answer it. Here goes:
I have a PowerMac 8500 that has been serving up music to my Stereo System and other macs in the house off of an IDE Hard drive connected through a PCI IDE Controller Card... However it suffers from the infamous audio stutter problem.
I have been able to use a utility from Acard (the PCI IDE card manufacturer) that slows down the drive speed so there is no stutter (it's called "AV Optimizer").
Now, I just upgraded to a G3 400 card, and am trying to bump it up to OS 10. I have XPostFacto and all, but I need to find an OS X version of the AV Optimizer, or something similar. Anyone know of anything that will help me?
Thanks All!
