My God.... yesterday I bought How the West Was Won since that was all I could find at 10pm and listened to that and was absolutely blown away and tonight i picked up the 2 disc DVD set of 5 hours of footage. So far i just watched the first half of the Royal Albert Hall show since it got too late and I feared the neighbors would get pissed but the DVD is unbelievable. The sound, DTS 5.1, blew me away for the age of the footage.

If you have even a remote interest in rock and/or Zeppelin, pick these 2 items up. I think Circuit City had them both for 30 dollars. Apparently the DVD is being sold out everywhere.

Moby Dick in 5.1 certifies Bonham as the best drummer in history IMO.

Neil Peart is the best drummer in history . I'd probably rank Keith Moon ahead of Bonham as well. However, Bonham and Jones are often underrated in any discussion of Zeppelin IMHO. I am intrigued by your review...I might just have to hit Best Buy .

I am really excited. To hear the live stuff from when They were still young and fresh!!!!!

hopefully its just the tip of the iceberg . . . more tapes to come?

like the rumors that Miles Davis taped everything he ever did . . including his jams with Hendrix . . . .

man, i hope so.... i havent even watched nearly all of it so perhaps its premature but im salivating for more, especially a wider range of songs.

I mean, being honest, there's only so many times I can listen to immigrant song and heartbreaker.

but still, very nice setlist for both discs.....

the royal albert hall footage shows them pretty young and plant looks great.

i'm interested in watching the extras tomorrow too, they have their various tv appearances on disc 1.
