The Quasi-official Matrix Revolutions Thread
OK, I saw it coming and with my comment in the other "preview" thread, I thought now was the time to post. Here's an interesting observation. In the first two Matrix flicks, Agent Smith seems to have only two modes: stoic and pissed. In the third movie, he is seen laughing. This is such a complete departure (emotionally) from before...makes me think there is a lot to the "some of Agent Smith inside Neo, some of Neo inside Agent Smith" theory.
That Neo has taken on more machine-like qualities and Smith more human-like. Should make for an interesting dichotomy. I don't think there's any question they will play out the final curtain call as it were.

I predict Revolutions is PG-13 also. No more sex(y) scenes.
That's not possible ..... STOP!
Let me out. .... LET ME OUT!
*puke*
Sank you vely much, I be hea all ze week!
Also, none of the actors are great IMO, though there are definitely some good ones. Hugo Weaving is probably the best of the bunch. He was much more convincing than the other agents in the first movie and has carried himself well through a mediocre second movie as well. In fact, I suspect the reason we didn't see more dialog from the other agents in the second installment was because they weren't nearly as believable.... The W brothers probably figured it would be less distracting / confusing if they didn't say much of anything, and they were right.
On the other hand, the whole storyline does have its share of interesting question marks and makes it kind of fun to guess what will happen next. Especially since next is roughly six months away and not 2-3 years. I think both the Wachowski brothers and the makers of the LOTR trilogy realized that in order to really keep peopel "anxious", the last chapters at least have to be relatively close together timing-wise. This November could potentially kick ass. The Two Towers, Revolutions, and at least one other good flick I'm hoping. God knows it won't be Star Wars III.
Now for some predictions:
Neo will be killed by Agent Smith but will also win the war somehow by preventing Smith from taking over. Sort of the old "if you're going to try and drown me in a pool, you're coming with me to the bottom" thing.
There will be too much wire-fu again.
After futzing with her ticker in the second film, Neo will master the art of virtual G-spot massage for Trinity (see I'm trying hard not to take this too seriously). As a result Trinity will refuse to leave the Matrix and Neo will be torn between staying with her there or saving the world.
Agent Smith will *own* the movie. All the good lines, all the interesting twists, all of it. You won't even notice the "ManyMe" thing he'll be so bad ass. He better be because if he isn't the movie might suck badly.
What I really want to know though...is when will the second DVD come out? Right as the third hits the theatres?
