So maybe this subject might have come up before but I thought I might resurrect it. There are a lot of new users that have switched to OS X that don't know about the vast array of cool little and big things here and there that might make the OS X experience better.

What utilities and 3rd party applications do you guys use that make your OS X lives that much more pleasurable? If you also feel like it, mention next the application what it is used for so as to guide new users.

I personally love the following:

-DefaultFolder X (File Dialog Box Functionality)

-LiteSwitch X (Application Switcher)

-Fruitmenu (Customize OS X Menus)

-Firewalk (Firewall)

-Little Snitch (Application Firewall....alerts you when a application is trying to call hom)

-Extensis Suitcase (Font Management)

-Proteus (Chat)

-Transmit (FTP)

-XSee (Image Browser)

And lately I have been messing with PathFinder which is so far seeming pretty cool. Hope the FInder gets a upgrade in Pather.

There's already a very similar discussion going on in the current thread Question: Top 10 utilities/software/games for osX.
