HP LaserJet 1100 and OS X!!!!

I got my dad to make the switch!!! But at his office he has a HP LaserJet 1100 which has a IEEE-1284-compliant size C parallel cable on the back. There is no USB???? What should I do. Has anybody ever got this to work. Any USB adapters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.
