ipod frozen HELP

My new 15 gig iPod just froze on me, it still shows the battery being recharged. When I touch any of the buttons it makes the little clicking sound but the screen wont change. Is there any master reset? I held down the play/pause button but nothing happened. And when I plug it back into the cradle it makes the sound that it usually does, but nothing else happens.

Help I miss my music.

    push the hold button to hold, then push hold button off...after that push the play/pause button and the menu button at the same time for about 5 seconds...this will force the iPod to reset...it should work fine after that...i usually reset my iPod after each time i charge it or add/delete songs with iTunes
