best browser & mail client

Just wondering if people had the time to put in their 2cents on what browser they favor the most, as IE is out of the picture. Safari is presumably taking over. Also, what do people use for mail?

Do you prefer having browser and mail app integrated as one (mozilla/netscape) or separate...

rant/rave/feedback welcome...

Safari, mail.app and addressbook.app. Can't beat that with a stick. Add in iSync with iCal and I've got everything I need. Keep all-in-ones away from my computer.

    Omniweb all the way.

I'm still on 4.2 here - haven't even tried the webcore version yet - and this serves me well. I tried Safari but I hated the GUI and it just didn't seem as friendly or powerful as Omni.

I use iCab but after downloading Safari who knows? Safari is a nice browser. On both I have problems navigating in some of the forums I'm on but I figure I will put up with it instead of using IE.

Mozilla/Mozilla Messenger is a pretty good combo.

From about 1994 'til IE5/OE5, I used Netscape for browsing and mail. I liked having all-in-one.

Switched briefly to IE/OE5 until OS X, then went to Mozilla/Mail.

Mozilla (Pinstripe Graphite theme) is still my default browser (Mail.app for mail), but I really like Camino. Safari is gettin there, though.

I wanted to like Omniweb... just didn't "click" for me.

    Camino/Mail.app - Address Book.

My corporate network is using MS Exchange for mail, and the LDAPv3 from Address Book, integrates AWESOME!

The reason I use Camino is Safari DOES NOT offer a "BACK" function with the right mouse click. I know I'm just NitPicking, but we all have our quirks.

    What torifile said

I've long wished for an Apple-created web browswer. I got my wish, and it's all I use.

"Best" is pretty subjective, but for a doofus like me with basic needs and expectations, I'm more than well-served by Safari, Mail, iCal and iSync.

If Apple's handling of font management and faxing in the upcoming Panther is 1/5th as well done and attractive and functional as the above, I'll be a happy fella.
