It's yourself contacting you from the future, but he can't identify himself as yourself because it would create a huge knot in space-time and rip apart the very fabric of our universe! Don't do anything you hadn't planned on doing before you got that e-mail, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS AND WILL BE.

Now this is really getting cloak-and-dagger...

    The suspense builds.

...and Hope, as always, well... you know.

P.s. Perhaps it has something to do with that oh-so-suspicious "Macintosh's Palm OS5" mention that AtAT mentioned yesterday... <a href="http://www.news8austin.com/content/headlines/?ArID=51547&SecID=2"; target="_blank">LINK TO ARTICLE

Dude, so if I went and set up an anonymous account on a free e-mail service, and sent someone an e-mail containing some made up "rumor" that I pulled out of my ass, it would be worthy of posting a new thread about?

ROTFL Eugene, seriously, for the longest time (I'm talking years) your posts made you out to be a humourless automaton. Then there was the MY EYES ARE COMING ALL OVER MY KEYBOARD!!! followed by the DVD DRIVE UPDATE!!111!1 and now this.

Catches me off guard. Good thing I did not have a mouth full of coffee or I'd've shorted out my powerbook!

Well just as long as its not a new g4...cause I'm about to get one!

    If it had said

    "something apple this way comes"

as oppossed to "comes this way"

I would be more intrigued...but only cause I really liked that movie(something wicked this way comes)

side note: one of the funniest thigns I've read on this board was when someoneposted something about g5s and moki(I think it was)said "these aren't the g5s you're looking for, move along"

maybe Apple is going to eliminate CRT's and LCD's and return to the old IBM punchcards and compiler.

I also believe Ray Bradbury stole the line for a book about a carnival the came to a small town, which is what the movie was based on.

Okay I was about to close this pointless thread that is quickly turning to mush but Tiger made a good point of what the 18th brings. If this gets back on track it stays open...

Now...has Apple ever announced ANYTHING at Comdex? You know who was all gun ho about Comdex and that was Kormac. Year in and year out that's all we heard.

Comdex would be a good time to come out with a new digital device, especially if they release it with some Windows compatability software like they did with the iPod earlier this year. It might be a good time for a speed boost to the iMac as well, since this is a consumer oriented model, and it might be a good boost for the "Switch" campaign. Is Apple going to be at Comdex this year?
